Scholarship

In January 2023, board members of Tibetan Aid Foundation visited the Odiyana Poject site. Because the Odiyana Clinic is completing its construction, and next step is to equip and staff the clinic, the Foundation is currently funding one nursing student’s tuition and she will be working in the clinic after her graduation

My name is Jyoti, currently I am attending nursing college in Asam, and I am majoring in nursing and midwife. My goal is to complete my nursing school successfully therefore I am seeking your financial support to make my education to be fruition. I am asking for your assistance because my family is poor and having challenges to support my education.

We have 13 family members in two bamboo house, grandparents, my parents, uncle, Aunt, brother and sister, nephews and nieces. and my father and brother drive Rikshaws in near township to earn income to support our family and my education.
Even though, my family has financial difficulties however my family is very proud that I am the first person to attend college in our family history, plus as a female to get higher education is a record breaking in our family, this is because my father truly believes in education to create better life for me and my family. My ultimate is to become a professional nurse in a government run hospital, but after graduation
I am willing to volunteer at Odiyana Clinic to serve our community and gain working experience as well. My family knows that Odiyana Clinic will be a great benefit to our community and so very often our family members volunteer in the Odiyana project.
I understand that I will volunteer and work at least three years in the Odiyana clinic with competitive compensation. Also I have choice to move on to different endeavors that may arise in the future.
